Hypnosis Pain Control

The adage “no pain, no gain” simply is not true. Think about all of the times pain has kept you from partaking in activities that you enjoy – perhaps partaking in sports and even sitting can be impossible when you’re in great pain. Have you gained anything from missing out on memories?

However, the saying that “Pain is all in your head” can, in fact, be correct. If that is so, then the cure is in your head, also. With hypnosis, pain can fade away. Despite what you may believe, hypnosis is simply a mental state where messages can reach the unconscious mind more easily. The state of hypnosis is characterized by deep relaxation. In fact, with regular practice of a hypnosis pain elimination regimen, you will feel much more peaceful over all.

Pain indicates that something in your body is amiss. So pain is actually a positive thing. But after you have your medical practitioner give you a check up to make sure that the pain is not signaling a dangerous condition like a tumor, it’s time to manage or even eliminate the pain.

There is no risk in a hypnotherapeutic pain relief program. You can’t “get stuck” in a state of hypnosis. The worst that could possibly happen when you use hypnosis for pain reduction is that you could fall into a natural state of sleep for a half hour- think of all of the nights that pain has kept you from sleeping!

This isn’t to say that a hypnotherapeutic pain management system is similar to sleep, because that is the biggest misunderstanding about hypnosis. If you are asleep, you’re unconscious. If you are not conscious, then you can’t hear anything. If you cannot hear anything, then the hypnotherapist can’t help you. In truth, hypnosis is actually a state of keen awareness.

Despite being consciously aware of everything, hypnotherapeutic pain management programs can address both physical and mental causes and introduce many effective avenues to do away with pain. Drugs just block the reception of the physical symptoms of pain on a temporary basis, but hypnotherapeutic pain regimens can actually decrease the amount and strength of pain signals that you sense. You can literally reprogram your body to distribute less pain-inducing chemicals to your receptors. This means that you can use fewer pain killing drugs, or in many cases no prescriptions at all.

Endorphins are opiate-like elements that are created in the brain. They are the elements that cause athletes to get a high when they workout intensely. Using hypnosis, you can also learn how to program your brain to create pain-relieving endorphins on demand and then distribute them to the painful area where they are required.

Because of endorphins, the brain is capable of inducing analgesia, which is a mild anesthesia, as well as full anesthesia (numbness). Medical journals are full of reports both in pre-anesthesia days, as well as in modern times, when invasive surgery has been done under hypnoanesthesia.

Hypnosis can also work to program the mind to direct your attention away from pain, which will help you perceive much less discomfort. Further, hypnosis hypnotherapeutic pain management CDs can help our mind recognize and comprehend that the pain is present, but not to let us suffer from it. A certified hypnotherapist will be familiar with how to completely address other hypnotic suggestions that will assist in your recovery.

A highly effective hypnosis pain remedy lies in Neuro-Linguistic Programming, or NLP. No doubt that after living with chronic pain, you may be skeptical that a hypnotherapeutic pain program will work. In a lot of cases, NLP methods actually work better for modern thinkers than traditional hypnosis does because it was created for people like you who are brought up to question and analyze everything. When we analyze, we tend to throw up barriers to the acceptance of post-hypnotic suggestions.

Stressful feelings always make us perceive far more pain than we are actually experiencing. One of the most powerful NLP patterns for eliminating stress is known as the “Flash.” This technique reprograms the unconscious mind to use mental images that create stress to actually trigger thoughts that result in feelings of relaxation instead. After you have used this practice, it will be impossible, or at least very difficult to think the thoughts that upset you, because your mind will instantly and automatically exchange them in a Flash for thoughts that relax you instead.

Self hypnosis and pain relief go hand in hand. If you’re tired of coping with prescriptions that render you incompetent to drive or to fully experie life, or worse, of living with the stabbing, shooting or throbbing pulsations of discomfort, a hypnosis pain elimination program can offer safe, natural and instantaneous relief.
